POSTARTUM : projects x artists is an alternative collaborative art space.

postartum has hosted more than 80 artists, curators, and musicians in its six years of presentation.

postartum provides a platform for the creation, promotion, criticism and archiving of adventurous artwork for public viewing, experience and interaction.This includes work by individual artists and collaboratives; work that uses postartum as a repository for ideas and work that explores possibilities.

postartum encourages imaginative strategies that actively communicate ideas and issues in a range of media; featuring works online and on site.

postartum collaborates with artists, programmers, writers, musicians and thinkers who explore beyond traditional remits.

postartum has engendered a much-needed community out of the artists it has brought together, and continues to reap the fruits of this cross-pollination with multiple medium projects.

postartum's activities are self funded and are sustained by the passion, ideas, exploration and skills of the postartum team.
